觀察台北的時尚生活，不能不提到「in house」，熟悉夜生活的台北客都知道，「in house」不只是一間lounge restaurant而已，不但是引領「lounge文化」的重要推手，更成為時尚男女、潮流人士的聚集地。每逢夜晚，打扮入時的男女們在此酒酣耳熱、享受音樂，和最國際化的信義商圈相互輝映，有種置身紐約時代廣場或東京六本木的時空交錯感，事實上「in house」已經發展成台北獨特的「符號性商品」，在當代社會中反映消費活動、流行指標與生活風格的文本之一，由映象唱片主理的「in house」系列，更是掀起沙發音樂風潮的主要勢力，多年來一直獨領風騷，其音樂風格和元素要求與歐美同步而不斷求新求變，儼然一派名門正宗繼續帶領市場。
2006春天登場的《in house 05》，少了印象中沙發音樂呢喃軟語的輕柔節奏，在取材上大膽嘗試異國元素，house中可聽見熱情洋溢的拉丁鼓拍、也將印度音樂融入downtempo的架構內，多了點民族色彩，但電氣科技的氣勢一樣不減，〈the waiting game〉、〈dream machine〉是充滿funky、minimal感覺的浩室佳作，rap和house結合的〈make em shake it〉亦是一絕，就連歐陸十分流行，本地較少著墨的2-step樂風，也有〈the rain〉搶先收錄，《in house 05》大致可分為兩種聆聽感受，前半段沉浸在都會感十足的節奏中，hip hop、diva、funky house等活力四射，後半段曲目還是有怡人的沙發緩拍、bossanova可聊慰人心，〈el verde amanacer〉開場清新的吉他旋律就讓人想躺在草原上。這絕對是「in house」 系列有史以來音樂性最豐富、最多元的一張專輯，除了夜店生意不墜之外，《in house 05》也繼續在沙發音樂中獨占鰲頭，看來過不久也許會有人問「你今天in house了嗎？」代表品味、有自信的生活態度了！
