從編曲上來說，第一句副歌概括了男女主角的情緒。女生覺得這醫吻就像被人戲弄了一樣，她想被愛和被照顧，最終卻只能被迫等待。可是男生心想，這個女孩是否會在幾個月的迷戀期過了之後，就離他而去。他們的想法是在同一個的時間框架內產生不同的想法，因此編曲編排上可以安排對話，可都放在心裡。

當歌曲進行到第二節的時候，女孩堅定表示自己不是玩弄他人感情的類型。所以到了歌曲的結尾，男生更願意往前走，並在最後對女孩說 "請溫柔地，愛我？"。
